Effectiveness of TA in organisation

Any change management tool requires to be measured so that the tools effectiveness in influencing the desired change can be guaged.

Transactional Analysis effectiveness in management training can be guaged by observing gestures, listening words and tones and examing written communication of organisation members who send it across the business.This diagnosis will help to know predominant ego states that leaders and members of group and organisation use during communication.Sorting out is best way to ensure our diagnosis is apt and identify the frequency of ego states that causes friction in team.

Questions can be asked - How many of the leaders or members are speaking primarily from one egostate to the exclusion of the others ? What is the rate of occurence of staright complementary transactions as compared to ulteriro or crossed transaction?How do different types of transaction[communication] occur between memebrs of team accross the maanagement level?

Know that as Parents set the mould for their childrens behavior so does the communication style of management will set the style for the staff- atleast overtly.If ultetior communication is high that means their is dissonance in the style of management and staff.It is better that complementary transactions are encouraged from Adult awareness wherein the communication is re-instated even if broken.

The ego-state knowledge of one's personality makes one aware to work with the ADULT eog-state of opposite person.Both can choose to be in Here-now situation i.e  are not expected to re-experience previous scenes of life,thus able to work out why they now response as they do,but they do not regress.

Within organisation,PAC model helps to evaluate managements effectiveness in terms of objectives reached  and how organisation is doing in terms of the necessary problem-solving,organisation change and planning.

Change in the organisation is necessary on a continous basis  in ordr to keep the organisation flexible and easily match the pace of changing environment.
If change is not made with careful attention  being paid to human behaviroal factors, then fear , anger, negative stroking levels will lead to resistance towards change and growth.The trio factors need to be identifeid at all levels of management.TA can help not only to identify but also use tools to replace fear with openess, anger with intimacy and negative strokes with postive strokes .
